HIRWAI i.e. Green Mother Earth is an open forum of likeminded people who wish to a come on a common platform and address the issues related to environment in general and the depleting green cover of Nagpur in particular. With the ever increasing pace of development, nature and environment are the worst hit. Till recently, Nagpur had the proud position of being the greenest city in the entire country which has drastically changed over a short time. Now is the time to sit and dwell upon the current scenario and make efforts to bring about a change in it.

With this objective in mind, HIRWAI was started as an open medium of communication wherein people from all walks of life could gather, discuss and try to find solutions to some of the environmental issues. The main aim of HIRWAI would be to promote environmental awareness through a variety of activities which would help in saving the depleting green cover and also the decreasing water table.
